WHY ORAL STORYTELLING?
Oral storytelling has been at the heart of education since the beginning of humanity. Children have always learned about the world by listening to the tales told by their elders. The recent development of widespread literacy has not diminished the importance of oral stories. Hearing, crafting, learning and telling stories bolsters children's reading skills, self confidence and sense of community.
